Why?......Who knows?

Tonight on the Millionaire Mastermind Roundtable Conference Call I really spoke from the heart on the question "Why?"

In the past week 1/2 I have been a part of something that I really didn't comprehend at the time. Some friends in AZ just recently lost their niece, Hanna-age 7, in a car accident. She was a girl beyond her years and created such an amazing story that will just touch your heart.

Then while visiting my friends in AZ I receive news from a dear friend back home that her son, Willem-age 7, just passed away from Asthma.
Again I found myself asking the question...Why? Why these young children? Why so close together?

And while speaking with Willem's mom she said something that really made sense to me. I had a ah-ha moment!

She said something along the lines of "The light children are being called back up." Their work here on earth is done and we deserve to keep their passions and dreams alive. There is a shift going on in the world and what we were to learn from these two children we have learned. And I can tell you it has been some wonderful things.

Then a day later I learned that my Nephew had come into this world! Today I had the opportunity to see him for the first time and it was so amazing! A true miracle!
Again the question...Why?

Why all within a few days of each other? What is the universe trying to tell me? Show me? Speak to me? I know that everything happens for a reason and those answers are still coming to me.

Perhaps it is to connect with you, here, now. To touch your life. To make a difference. To spark your passion and help you realize your "Compelling Why". Why are you here? What is your passion? Your Purpose? Your Why?

Do you feel you don't know what it is?

That's okay.

Perhaps these few questions will assist you.
-What excites you?
-What are the loves of your life?
-What things are deeply important to you?
-When you talk about them do you light up? Do you get emotional?

Great Now Write Them Down!

Simply write it on a 3x5 index card and carry it with you in your purse or wallet. That way when the little things happen that make you upset, or get you down you can refer back to your card and instantly be reminded of what your purpose or your compelling why is.

My last story that I connected with while in AZ comes from a women who lost her husband at a young age. He left behind her and their 3 young children. For the past 20 years, she also asked herself "Why, Why me, Why now, Why my family?" It wasn't until recently that she realized the answer to that why.

Her story, the people her husband touched-just like Hanna and Willem, the prompting she listened to and others didn't, has changed the lives of 100's of 1000's of people. Because of her loss, 1000's of people's lives have been touch for the better and continue to be touched. Without that event who knows if the movement that was created would have occurred.

As she proceeded to tell us her story and her realization, I too realized a little more of why the events occurred as they did for me.

I now know that Hanna & Willem's stories will continue to touch 1000's of lives for the better and the birth of my nephew comes to show me that life is always created, new stories are being written, and passions and purposes are being realized each and every day.

My wish for you is to take the time to appreciate the people in your world.

Smile at a stranger.
Shake the hand of the men and women who serve this country.
Even the small things make a difference.

Relationship Marketing

Relationship Marketing is HUGE for people in direct sales and network marketing.

So Let's break down Marketing.
How do you currently market your business?
Do you go to mixers, speed networking, networking groups, Internet, etc.

Do you have a 30 second commercial or elevator pitch? If not you deserve to speak with my good friend Barbara of Bright Farm Productions.

Now that you have a 30 second commercial when do you use it? Do you use it when you are at the store or only at an event you deem as a place to build your business?

Now lets take a look at what type of person you are currently when you do go to a chamber or networking event.
-Do you pass out all your cards (or throw your cards to anyone within 5 feet of you)?
(that's an interesting mental picture isn't it)

-Do you just give someone your "spiel"?
I actually had an individual ask this of me. I was at a local speed networking event and as I sat down the person across from me said "Hi my name is .... so what is your spiel?" My spiel??? I can't tell you how turned off I was by this comment. No matter how wonderful her product or service was there is NO WAY I would ever buy from her. Just because I could tell she had no interest in getting to know me and find a way how her product and service could assist me in my personal or business life.

-Do you connect and listen to people, do you find out about the person, do you find out what they do other than their "job" or "business"?
By doing this you actually will find that by building this relationship, even if you don't make the "sale" on the first encounter, you are setting the ground work for a relationship that will go way beyond the "sale". This relationship will most likely also bring you more business than if you could possibly imagine.
